About
Henry Lawson and Nellie Melba are our two 6 berth houseboats. They've both been renovated with new kitchens, a full kitchen set and gas BBQs. The TVs onboard have HDMI and USB connections so please bring your favourite shows/movies along on your hard drives or USB drives to enjoy them whilst on the water.
Henry Lawson has been set up as our prize fishing boat, featuring plenty of rod-holders and a 1m bait board. We challenge you to catch a fish that’s too long for it! It also has a large open sundeck and BBQ for the end of a hard day.
Nellie Melba is our honeymoon boat featuring a brand-new kitchen with stone bench tops and plenty of space to relax and enjoy a romantic getaway in one of the many secluded bays on the Hawkesbury River.
Our 6 berths are most suitable for 2 adults and 2 children under 12. For larger groups, we recommend the 10 berth original fleet boats.

Conditions of hire
Age: At least two members of the crew must be 18 years or older and one of these persons must be the signatory on all hire documentation.
Booking Confirmation: A non-refundable deposit of is required to confirm all bookings. Until the deposit has been paid a reservation may be cancelled without notice to the hirer.
Bond: A security bond, ranging from $1000 on the Luxury Original Fleet to $2,000 on the Luxury Star Fleet, will be held by Luxury Afloat. The bond is usually refunded within five business days after completion of hire unless there is due cause for the management not to do so. Any breaches of the hirer’s agreement, signed by the hirer before departure, will result in a partial or full loss of the bond.
Cancellations by the hirer: The booking deposit is non-refundable, however this deposit may be transferable at the discretion of management.
Cancellations by Luxury Afloat: In the unlikely event that management is prevented from letting out the vessel, due to mechanical breakdown or unforeseen circumstances, all monies paid will be refunded to the hirer, however in this instance the hirer has no claim on any account against management.
Hiring Charges: Are subject to change without notice. Current pricing must be confirmed at time of booking, and only once deposit is paid is the price held firm.
Hire Time: Weekend hires start 10:00am Friday and finish 3:00pm Sunday. Weekly hires normally start 10:00am Monday and finish 3:00pm Thursday. Special packages can be negotiated out of peak periods. Public holiday packages are available.
Insurance: All boats are insured under a marine policy and the limit of the hirer’s liability (provided the terms on hirer’s agreement are kept) is the bond paid before departure.
Multiple Hiring: A deposit and bond is required for each boat booked. Full payment must be made 1 month in advance of the hire date or your booking may be cancelled without notice from Luxury Afloat. In the event of any or all of the boats not being required the cancellation condition will apply.
Payment Methods: We accept payment by Cash, EFT, Credit Card and Bank cheques. Personal or Company cheques will not be accepted unless they are submitted at least 10 days prior to the hire commencement date.
Pets: Domestic animals are not permitted into the Royal National Parks which encompass the waterways, therefore your pets are not allowed on board our vessels. In special circumstances, pets such as guide dogs are allowed.
Prohibited Items: hairdryers, firearms and illicit drugs are not permitted on board.
